February 12, 2010

Here in the Southeast, we rarely get to see much (if any at all) snow. The last real snow I remember was in the late 80's or early 90's. Last year we saw some fall from the sky, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. My older kids have seen snow in West Virginia, but my 2 younger ones haven't really gotten to experience the thrill of what a good snowfall consists of.

That is until Friday. The snow started to fall around 2pm and didn't stop until the wee hours of Saturday morning. We ended up with about 5 inches!! It was Beautiful!!!

The kids played outside until late that night, and were up and out early on Saturday morning. They were excited to have neighborhood friends to have snowball fights with and sled down our front yard!

The next morning , the sights were absolutely breathtaking!! For a West Virginia girl, it was like going home.

We consider the snow a wonderful blessing. The fact that it didn't hang around very long or cause and damage was even better!!
